About the Covenants There are Covenants in place in order to maintain the wonderful atmosphere and quality of this estate. These refer largely to the external appearance of the individual properties as well as protecting the look of grassy areas and general view of the estate. Not to be seen as restrictions, it is due to the adhering of the Covenants that Weymede still looks as spectacular as when it was first built over thirty years ago; the timeless quality taking us into the 21st Century. It is good and right that people look to increase the value of their investment and quality of life, often by making changes to their own property. Span estates can be a little different from the norm in that it is as much about the estate, with the atmosphere and appearance of the surrounding area, as well as one's own property. Set in an impressive backdrop of trees, planted borders and open grass, and the houses themselves with floor to ceiling and wall to wall windows, all uniform in appearance with clean lines, award a feeling of peace and simplicity. So, when you look over this site or come and visit our much loved estate, know the Covenants play a great part in what you experience. They are for the protection of what we love rather than the restriction of what we want to do.
