Wildlife on Weymede

As well as the beautiful and spacious grounds, Weymede also attracts a variety of wildlife, some common, some not so common. Below are pictures of a few.

Animals on Weymede:

These include: Foxes, Badgers, Deer, Moles, Frogs, Squirrels, Toads, Butterflies

Besides the above animals and wonderful plant life, perhaps the most noticeable feature is the wide variety of birds on Weymede. Below is a selection of the birds seen on the estate by one resident, since 1989. Some are quite common while others are quite rare and we are fortunate to have them here:

Ok, so the penguins were a bit of a stretch, but all the others are genuine; even the Parakeets which are frequently seen in the area.

More details:

The Goosanders were first seen in Dec 05 Jan/Feb 06.

The Great northern divers were seen in the early winter of 2003 and 2004.

Many of the others are fairly common on Weymede except for rare sightings of:

The Song and Mistle Thrush, The Great Spotted Woodpecker, and The Great Crested Grebe
